NECA’s sneak peak figure of the Big Daddy from upcoming 2k Game’s Bioshock 2 is an impressive figure.

Over one pound of plastic went into making the Bouncer Big Daddy come to life in beautiful detail.

The sculpt of the figure shows all the twisted details that we’ve come to expect from the little piece of underwater Hell that Rapture is.

There are the little dings, scrapes, cuts, and knicks all over the diving suit that come from battle with the army of splicers living in Rapture. A nice detail is that the drill bit has the tip broken off.

There are two tanks that attach via pegs into the Big Daddy’s back for the air/drill supply.

The tanks are where my one complaint with the figure lies. The smaller tank on the right comes out very easily due to the hole in Big Daddy’s back not being cut evenly.

The wash over the figure completes the look of grime Rapture now exudes.

The figure was priced at $20 at Toys R Us, a standard price for highly-detailed, collectible figures.

The rest of the figures scheduled to be released include the Big Sister w/Little Sister, Big Daddy (Rosie-type), Ladysmith Splicer, and the Big Daddy (Player version).

At the end of the day, despite my many misgivings with NECA over past quality issues, I recommend picking up this figure. It’s a solid, well-sculpted figure that captures the essence of the character.
